YOUTH & MIDDLE SCHOOL BOYS

SUMMER SCRIMMAGES



From June 14 to July 26, the Lexington Youth Lacrosse Association Middle School and Youth Boys teams will be sponsoring summer scrimmages for boys between the ages of 10 and 14 in the Fayette and Woodford County areas who are members in good standing of US Lacrosse.

The scrimmages will take place at a site on Versailles Road near the Bluegrass Parkway on Sunday evenings from 7:30PM to 9:00PM. As a not-for-profit enterprise, the nominal fee will be used to cover field rentals and paint. All coaches will volunteer their time. To get your name on a PRELIMINARY list for the games and to reserve your spot with your team and teammates, send an email with your name, age, school, and US Lacrosse membership number.

The duPont Manual High School girls’ lacrosse team took the KLA State Title with an upset win against KCD. The final score was Manual 10, KCD 7.

STICKHEAD LACROSSE

ANNOUNCES TRAVEL TEAM




Team Stickhead KY Select Travel Team is a way for the best high school lacrosse players in Kentucky to advance their skills and highlight their talent for college coaches at national and regional team camps & tournaments. Players will be selected during open tryouts in which they will be put through a college style practice. Team Stickhead KY will be sponsored by Stickhead Lacrosse and Sports who will provide players with a team jersey and team helmets to be used at all tournaments as well as a complimentary pair of team shorts.

Team Stickhead KY will be coached by the Bellarmine University Lacrosse Staff as well as top area high school coaches. Coaches will provide players with the best possible instruction and guidance in order to advance their skills and prepare them to play lacrosse at the next level. Click here for more information!

MANUAL WINS

LOUISVILLE BRAVEHEART



The DuPont Manual High School Reddawgs took home a victory in the annual Sacred Heart Braveheart Tournament. Begun in 2007, the tourney features local talent and regional skill in the girls lacrosse arena. Congratulations Reddawgs!

KENTUCKY COACH RECOGNIZED

WITH NATIONAL HONOR

The National Senior Showcase All-Star Game, exhibiting the best of boys' high school lacrosse features the top senior high school players in competition representing the North, South, East, and West regions. The National Senior Showcase is set-up in a final four format, with two semifinal games, a third place game and a championship game. All of the teams are guaranteed practice and scrimmage time on Friday, June 19 and two games on Saturday, June 20. The competition concludes with an Awards Banquet featuring a special keynote speaker on Saturday evening.

Eights coaches, two from each region, are selected and given the honor of coaching the all-stars. This year, Scott Howe, Sr., Head Coach of the Saint Xavier High School Tigers, was selected and given the honor of coaching for the West division!
